
Once you unlock and use a portal to teleport to a new city, you will receive a warning when leaving town that the portal will close. Once you've done that, you'll have to unlock it, as shown in the picture below.

For example, World Tier 1 is recommended for players levels 1 - 50 and you can change this at any time after unlocking the World Tier Statue in Kyovashad.Įach World Tier offers increased XP bonuses and gold but also increases enemy health and strength as you increase through its ranks. It's also useful to understand what other classes do just in case you pair up with your buddies in co-op mode to take down strong opponents.ĭiablo 4's World Tier system is an incredibly useful way to become accustomed to the mechanics of Diablo 4. Diablo 4 is an incredibly long game, so it's important that you get comfortable with one class since you cannot swap between classes on a single character. Until then, any new characters made pre-story completion will start over at the beginning of Diablo 4's campaign mode.

Once you complete the story on one character, you can choose to skip the story later when creating a new character.
